About This Role:   The Endo Surgical Technologist assists our endoscopy team during endoscopy procedures. Works in direct collaboration with the Registered Nurse and physician to meet unit and patient needs by performing patient care activities and offers comprehensive technical assistance during routine and complex procedures.  The Technologist functions as an integral member of the health care team by contributing to the efficient operation of the unit.  Performs circulating activities under the direction of the assigned RN circulator in multi-specialty cases (when one or more procedures are performed).  Our Surgical Technologists also assist to precept new surgical technologists.   What You Need:   Education Requirements:   High School Diploma or equivalent GED.   Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program  and national certification (NBSTSA).   Minimum Experience: Two (2) years of experience as a Surgical Technologist.  Ability to assist on complex OR cases and ability to cover multiple services and multiple cases.  Must possess great communication skills, a high level of professionalism.   Preferred: Two years experience in endoscopy.   Shift: Full-Time position, 10 Hour shifts flexed between 8:00am-8:00pm with Saturday rotation as neened as well as rotations to other MSK ORs as needed

You Will: - Perform technical procedures to include processing bone marrow, peripheral blood, tissue and fluid specimens, monoclonal antibody staining, acquisition of patient specimens using a flow cut-meter and flow cytometric immunophenotyping analyses, with supervision, as assigned. - Review requisitions and Order Entry orders, verify accuracy of corresponding specimens, and enters required data into computer. - Assure the accuracy of all tests performed by adhering to the laboratory’s Standard Operating Procedures. - Assure complete and accurate data storage to disks and/or data printouts when acquiring data on the FACS flow cytometers. - Contribute to the upkeep and safety of the laboratory and assure a clean, safe, adequately supplied work area. - Maintain adequate inventories of reagents and supplies.  - Manage the physical environment of the laboratory in accordance with New York State DOH, Joint Commission, OSHA and CLIA regulations. You Need: - Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or Clinical Lab Sciences. - New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist License or ASCP certification with eligibility to apply for a NY State License. - Flow Cytometry experience preferred.
