We have built an outstanding team of hospitalists over the past 15 years, and we are continuing to grow. Are you knowledgeable in next generation sequencing methods? We need you! Our research laboratory at the MSKCC is searching for a hard-working and highly motivated Computational Biologist. You will work closely with computational, clinical, and research investigators to analyze mass spectrometry-based proteomics data, next generation sequencing data derived from patient's tumors. Our team aims to apply a combination of state-of-the-art proteomics methods including single-cell proteomics in conjunction with cutting-edge genomics methods and single cell sequencing approaches to the analyses of experimental models and patient samples. We have access to a unique set of mass spectrometry-based proteomic platforms, platforms for multiplex immunophenotyping and spatial transcriptomics, as well as DNA and RNA single cell sequencing platforms and a large dataset of genomic data from over 100,000 human cancers. Successful applicants will be involved in the analysis of mass spectrometry-based proteomic, whole-genome, whole-exome, targeted capture, and RNA sequencing experiments.Our center supports correlative science research to study how the genetic profiles of patient's tumors define disease at presentation, response to therapy, and disease progression. These analyses guide treatment decisions and patients' enrollment in clinical trials of novel targeted therapies. Therefore, the candidate contributes to many of our projects, and those efforts will directly impact patient care.
