We are currently seeking an experienced Lab TechnologistsII for our Main Hospital - Rapid Results Lab.You will: - Perform technical duties in laboratory sections, with minimal supervision- Follows all laboratory procedures documented in the Standard Operating Procedures Manual when performing testing, thoroughly and accurately.- Performs technical procedures according to the required laboratory workflow patterns and in an organized manner so as to facilitate follow-up by other staff.- Consults with supervisor or senior technologist to verify procedure for specimens that do not follow SOPs. Contacts clinician to get additional information. Discusses alternatives with lab management and/or attending.- Verifies patient identification at all steps of every procedure. Maintains complete accuracy.- Performs all mathematical calculations, accurately, when necessary.- Maintain complete, accurate, legible, neat, organized, up-to-date records/logs/files- Assures the accuracy of all tests performed by adhering to the laboratory’s Standard Operating Procedures. Performs routine and advanced equipment maintenance- Contribute to the upkeep and safety of the laboratory and assures a clean, safe, adequately supplied work area. Maintains adequate inventories of reagents and supplies. The Radiopharmacy Technician is a technically skilled individual that assists Nuclear Pharmacists in the Molecular Imaging and Therapy Services (MITS) with the preparation and dispensing of radioactive drugs for cancer patients.  The technician responsibilities include following Standard Operating Procedures for the safe preparation and dispensing of radiopharmaceuticals used for Diagnostic, Therapeutic and Research use.  Tasks involve performing Quality Control (QC) testing on various drug samples, facility and equipment maintenance & cleaning, radiopharmaceutical package receiving and shipment, performing radiation safety functions, and waste management.
