The Tabar Laboratory is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow with a background in molecular biology and stem cells. Some experience with bioinformatics and interest in brain tumors are preferred. We Are: The Ambulatory Care Nursing Team is expanding the hours of providing telephonic triaging of MSK patients in the home setting. The nurse will assess the severity of the health problem and  determine the level of care needed. The Integrated Genomics Operation (IGO) enables basic, clinical and translational research projects across the Cancer Center. The Sloan Kettering Institute at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) is seeking innovative individuals with a strong record of accomplishments in proteomics to lead its Microchemistry & Proteomics core facility. SKI offers a highly interactive basic and translational science research environment (www.ski.edu) and is in a multi-institutional academic community. This is a laboratory-track faculty position fully supported by the institution. The Microchemistry & Proteomics Core supports research programs at MSK by performing mass spectrometry based sequence analyses of proteins and peptides for the purpose of identification, quantitation, chemical and post-translational modification (PTM). The Core Head is responsible for setting the short, medium- and long-term scientific directions of the core. They oversee hiring, training, mentoring of trainees, and staff career development. The core head operational’ s responsibilities encompass oversight of advanced methods development and implementation, technical troubleshooting, instruments maintenance, scientific consultation and, liaising with the scientific community to grow a sustainable state-of-the-art operation. The Core Head is also expected to develop innovative methodologies such as single-cell proteomics, comprehensive and genome-scale proteogenomics, chemical proteomics, spatial and imaging proteomics, immunoproteomics, multiplexed high-throughput proteomics, and intact macromolecular and complex proteomics. Applicants should have a PhD degree and five to ten years of relevant post-degree experience necessary to develop a technologically innovative environment. Expertise with quantitative high-resolution mass spectrometry proteomics is required, including current state-of-the-art preanalytical and analytical methods (isobaric and metabolic isotope labeling, multidimensional separations, nanoscale liquid chromatography, nanoelectrospray and laser desorption ionization, high-resolution Orbitrap and time-of-flight mass spectrometry). Direct experience with Thermo, Bruker, AB Sciex or Waters chromatographs/mass spectrometers is required. Expertise in computational analysis of data-dependent, targeted, and data-independent proteomics data (using PEAKS, Byonic, MSFragger, ProteomeDiscoverer, Skyline, or Spectronaut software) is also required. Prior experience in managing a proteomics core facility in a multiuser environment is highly preferred. MSK Kids and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer CenterPediatric Palliative Care Physician The Department of Pediatrics at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) is seeking a Pediatric Palliative Care Physician to join the Pediatric Advanced Care Team (PACT), an interdisciplinary team providing pain and palliative care services for children and young adults with cancer. The Pediatric Advanced Care Team is a busy and growing service providing advanced pain and symptom management, including interventional and postoperative pain management, and palliative care in both inpatient and outpatient settings. PACT is currently composed of two physicians, three nurse practitioners, an office practice nurse, and office and clinic care coordinators. PACT works closely with integrative medicine, pediatric psychiatry and psychology, child life, social work, and chaplaincy to coordinate services provided to primary pediatric oncology and surgical teams. We are actively seeking a physician board-eligible/board certified in pediatrics and pediatric hospice and palliative medicine who is interested in an academic career. Our mission includes clinical care, research, education, advocacy, community outreach, and coordinated care with local home hospice services. The department of pediatrics has a robust research infrastructure to support a variety of research interests. This search is open to potential candidates at all levels of career experience and appointments will be made at an academic level commensurate with the appointee’s experience. The Department of Pediatrics at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) is seeking Pediatric Oncologists to join the Academic Pediatric Oncology Service who are devoted to the care of children with cancer from birth through young adulthood. Our mission includes research, education, clinical care, advocacy and community outreach. We are actively seeking physicians that are BE/BC in pediatrics and pediatric hematology/oncology interested in an academic career. Faculty from the Academic Oncology Service serve as pediatric oncologists with special expertise in managing cancer patients both in the inpatient and ambulatory care settings. They care for a range ofpatients, from patients receiving stem cell transplants and novel cellular therapies to children with relapsed cancer enrolled on clinical trials, and establish continuity of care among our cancer specialists and referring physicians. The Academic Oncology faculty serve as the key educators of pediatric residents and fellows and conduct important clinical research and quality and safety initiatives within the Department of Pediatrics. The goal of the fellowship is to provide comprehensive training, which will be the key to forming well-prepared APPs in the specialty area. APPs will, in turn, be prepared to provide efficient, safe, and patient-centered postoperative and specialized care management to a diverse patient population. The program consists of three, equal-length rotations with APS, PACU, and SDU. The fellows will be guided by experienced preceptors, managers, and the fellowship director. Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) The fellow will work collaboratively with Anesthesiologists, Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists, Primary Surgical Teams, and Registered Nurses to efficiently recover patients who have undergone anesthesia. In this rotation, the fellow will focus on improving assessment skills to react to the patients quickly changing status. This clinical area treats side effects of nausea, increased pain, difficulty breathing, agitation, and those patients having trouble regaining consciousness so that the patient will have a stable transfer to the inpatient unit or discharge home. Step Down Unit (SDU)  In this rotation, the fellow will obtain patient health histories, do comprehensive assessments, and give presentations during multidisciplinary rounds. There is an emphasis on formulating and implementing treatment plans for acute and chronic illness management in collaboration with Critical Care Medicine, Surgical and General Medicine Attending Physicians. The fellow provides direct clinical services and coordination of care for Critical Care Center patientsincluding mechanical ventilator management and interpretation of diagnostic/laboratory tests. The Pain Service in the Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine (APS) The APS will offer APP fellows knowledge and experience in acute and chronic pain management. Upon graduation from the Fellowship, the APP will be proficient in the delivery of exceptional comprehensive care of the oncology patient.  Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) Fellowship –Neurology/Neurosurgery The goal of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center’s Advanced Practice Provider Neurology/Neurosurgery Oncology Fellowship is to promote practice transition and professional development tothe Neurology/Neurosurgical oncology patient population as part of a collaborative interdisciplinary healthcare team.  Clinical Fellow responsibilities will include:- Gathering a comprehensive patient history- Comprehensive physical examination- Comprehensive neurology examination- Ordering and analyzing diagnostic studies- Formulating and implementing treatment plans- Evaluating response to treatment- Coordination of patient care- Active participation within the interdisciplinary healthcare team- Participate in the implementation of patient education and clinical support programs to ensure optimal care throughout the healthcare continuumSuccessful completion of the APP Neurology/Neurosurgery Fellowship Program will be established by successful completion of the designated fellowship competencies, including a comprehensive evaluation and demonstration of skills. Clinical Rotations The program will consist of rotations in Neurology, Neurosurgery, and the Neuro Acute Care Unit. The APP Fellow will also have extended rotations with Radiation Oncology, Radiology, and the outpatient clinics.Neurology/Neurosurgery InpatientThe Fellow will provide direct patient care, as part of a collaborative team, to the neuro-oncology patient who is recovering from a neurosurgical procedure, receiving chemotherapy for CNS lymphoma, or requiring symptom management and treatment of an acute neurocritical illness.Neurology/Neurosurgery OutpatientIn the outpatient setting, the Fellow will have the opportunity to rotate through the Urgent Care Center, the Neurology, Neuro-Oncology, and Neurosurgery clinics. These comprehensive clinics provide outpatient care to the new patient seeking consultation, the postoperative Neurosurgery patient, established care visits for routine management, and urgent care visits including symptom management with appropriate escalation, as needed.Neurology Acute Care UnitWhile rotating within this closed Neuro unit, the Fellow will have the opportunity to evaluate, manage, and implement treatment for the critically ill neuro-oncology patient. The Fellow will collaborate closely with Intensivists from the ICU, the Neurology Attending, and the Neurosurgery Attending to provide comprehensive care to the neurocritical patient. Start DateSeptember 2022 Length of Program12 months Annual Stipend$85,000  # of Positions Available2 per year Eligibility & Requirements  You are a highly motivated critical thinker with a strong desire to care for a diverse adult neurology population.
