Job Description

Exciting Opportunity at MSK: Principal, MSK Tx BridgeLabs Biologics, Drug Development 

 

We are seeking a Principal, MSK Tx BridgeLabs Biologics, Drug Development to lead antibody discovery and protein engineering activities and designation of development candidates within MSK therapeutics bridge labs. 

 

This role provides scientific and operational leadership across biologics projects, guiding antibody generation, screening, and optimization, and ensuring alignment with MSK’s broader drug development goals. 

  

Role Overview 

  • Provide scientific expertise leadership on biologics drug discovery projects.
  • Oversee antibody generation, screening, optimization, and engineering.
  • Guide development and application of new assays for biologics.
  • Ensure timely completion of biologics projects and refinement of leads.
  • Generate robust data packages with the OEC Product Development Team to support commercial partnering.
  • Coordinate internal resources and external CROs to ensure project success.
  • Communicate progress with licensing managers, project managers, and OEC stakeholders.
  • Support data generation on efficacy, PK/PD, toxicology, formulation, and scalability.
  • Represent biologics projects in internal and external meetings and reviews.
  • Participate in OEC initiatives, including the Entrepreneurship Initiative.
  • Build and lead a high-performing biologics team, providing coaching and development.
  • Maintain scientific rigor and up-to-date knowledge in biologics drug development.

 

Key Qualifications:  

  • Doctorate's Degree in Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Engineering, or equivalent (10 years).
  • Extensive experience in biologics drug discovery and development.
  • Successful leadership of antibody discovery and engineering teams.
  • Track record of advancing biologics projects into clinical development.

  • Demonstrated scientific accomplishments in biologics development.
  • Extensive experience with assay development and protein expression/purification.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Proven success in building and managing high-performing teams.

  

Additional Information:  

 

Pay Range: $165,500 - $272,900 

Schedule: 9:00 AM 5:00 PM EST, Monday – Friday with flexibility as needed  

Location: Hybrid; 3x a week minimum in NYC
