Supervisor, Environmental Services – MSK Bergen & MSK Westchester

Role Overview:

At Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK), every team member plays a vital role in delivering the highest standard of care and service. Our Environmental Services (EVS) team ensures a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for our patients, visitors, and staff—supporting the healing process and enhancing the care experience.

 

As the Supervisor, Environmental Services at MSK Bergen and MSK Westchester, you’ll be a hands-on leader overseeing daily EVS operations. In this pivotal role, you will guide frontline teams, ensure service excellence, and partner across departments to uphold MSK’s values of integrity, safety, and compassion.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Operational Leadership

  • Supervise day-to-day environmental services operations across two regional sites, ensuring hospital standards for cleanliness, safety, and infection control are consistently met.
  • Collaborate with the Associate Director to coordinate schedules, assign tasks, and respond to operational priorities in real time.
  • Perform regular inspections and quality checks to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Team Development

  • Recruit, onboard, and coach EVS staff, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and service excellence.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and support staff through ongoing feedback and development opportunities.
  • Maintain training and competency records to ensure readiness and compliance.

Service Excellence & Process Improvement

  • Act as a role model for customer-focused service, addressing patient and staff needs with empathy and efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows, safety, and quality; support implementation of best practices and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to meet evolving needs in a dynamic healthcare setting.

Key Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of Environmental Services, Hospitality, or related operational experience required; healthcare setting strongly preferred.
  • Prior supervisory or team leadership experience ideal.
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate, coach, and lead diverse teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and decision-making skills; ability to manage competing priorities.

Additional Information:

  • Location: MSK Bergen, 225 Summit Ave, Montvale, NJ 07645 & MSK Westchester, 500 Westchester Ave, West Harrison, NY 10604
  • Schedule: 8 am to 4 pm, Monday-Friday, including weekends and holidays as needed (3 days at MSK Westchester, 2 day at MSK Bergen)
  • Reports to: Associate Director, Environmental Services
  • Pay Range: $67,900.00 - 105,300.00/annually
