Job Description

Exciting Opportunity at MSK: Program Manager, Emergency Management

We are looking for an Emergency Management Program Manager to drive the planning, execution, and oversight of our Mass Notification System and emergency preparedness initiatives. This role focuses on managing project timelines, ensuring regulatory compliance, and coordinating emergency response efforts across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program Design & Management
    • Responsible for operational development and maintaining the MSK Mass Notification Program and its associated components.
    • Lead the operational integration and alignment of the Emergency Management Department's applications and solutions to optimize workflows and create a comprehensive systems approach for organizational preparedness and resilience. Including, but not limited to:
    • Mass Notification System and its associated components {Everbridge}
    • Business Continuity in the Cloud (BCIC) {Everbridge/Infinite Blue}
    • Emergency Manager 360 {Oak Ridge Associated Universities}
    • AccuWeather for Business
    • Manage incident response systems, risk monitoring tools, and emergency communication platforms.
  • Training & Compliance
    • Contribute to Development and conducting of emergency training, exercises, and procedures in collaboration with the emergency management team. 
    • Ensure compliance with TJC, OSHA, CMS, and DHS regulations.
  • Program Delivery & Communication
    • Manage milestones, refine best practices, and ensure clear, transparent, and accurate documentation to keep projects on track.
    • Collaborate with organizational cross-functional teams to align emergency management program objectives.
    • Serve in leadership roles within the MSK Incident Management Team during emergencies.

Key Qualifications:

  • Experience in emergency management, preferably in a healthcare environment.
  • Familiarity with mass notification systems and business continuity planning tools.
  • Knowledgeable of the Homeland Security Exercise & Evaluation Program (HSEEP)
  • Required certifications: FEMA/DHS courses, ICS training.
  • Strong project management skills with proficiency in Microsoft 365 Copilot and Microsoft Power BI and Power Apps portfolio.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership abilities in high-pressure situations.

Core Skills:

  • Lead projects from development through implementation, balancing timelines, priorities, and pivots while keeping stakeholders informed, tracking progress, and refining workflows for smoother execution.
  • Lead training sessions and conduct emergency response drills.
  • Play a key role in the MSK Incident Management Team.
  • Effectively utilize Microsoft 365 Copilot, Microsoft Power BI, and Power Apps portfolio and mass notification tools while working across departments.

  • Location: On-Site; 633 Third Ave, New York, NY
  • Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm EST with on-call as needed
  • Reporting to: Director, Emergency Management
  • Pay Range: $110,600 - $176,100
