Job Description

Role Overview:

Join MSK’s dynamic APP Division, a team of over 900 Advanced Practice Providers (NPs and PAs) dedicated to delivering expert, compassionate cancer care. We’re seeking an APP to join our Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences team, providing urgent and pre-operative psychiatric assessments, ongoing medication management, and support for oncology patients. In this role, you’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop personalized care plans, contribute to the Tobacco Treatment Program by coordinating care for patients with tobacco dependence, and educate staff and patients on cessation strategies. You’ll also have opportunities to engage in research, quality improvement projects, and performance improvement initiatives, all while benefiting from mentorship with Psycho-Oncology experts. Be a clinical leader in nicotine dependence management and help us address the mental health needs of our patient population in a rewarding environment that furthers professional growth and innovation.

 

Key Qualifications:

  • Current New York State (NYS) RN and PMHNP licenses/registrations
  • Graduate from an accredited NP/DNP program
  • Masters degree required, prescriptive privileges (or eligibility)
  • 2+ years of related clinical experience. Tobacco treatment experience preferred
  • Related National NP certification
  • BLS

OR

  • Current NYS PA license
  • Graduate from an accredited PA program
  • Masters degree required, prescriptive privileges (or eligibility)
  • 2+ years of related clinical experience. Tobacco treatment experience preferred
  • NCCPA certification
  • BLS

  • Flexible and adaptable, with a responsive approach to the shifting demands of evolving circumstances.
  • Comfortable working in both telemedicine and on-site environments across NY and/or NJ.

 

Additional Information:

Hours: Four, ten-hour days, flexed according to business needs. Each week will focus on a variety of Outpatient Psychiatry and Tobacco Cessation cases.

Location: Potential for onsite work at Manhattan locations, Bergen/Westchester locations, or Monmouth/Basking Ridge locations. There is potential for some remote days, but these are subject to change based on needs and volume. This job involves telemedicine and in-person visits.

Pay Range: 144k-182K
