Job Description

Exciting Opportunity at MSK: Graduate Research Assistant

Join MSK as a Graduate Research Assistant (GRA) in the Advanced Computing and Oncology Laboratory within the Department of Radiation Oncology. This is an outstanding opportunity to engage in groundbreaking projects related to cancer imaging, visual computing, and advanced modeling of multimodal oncology data. Work alongside world-class researchers and clinical oncologists to make a significant impact on medical AI research and cancer outcomes.

 

Role Overview:

The Graduate Research Assistant will provide support for projects involving radiology, digital pathology, genomics, and circulating tumor markers. Work with the principal investigator (PI) to gather data and assess new AI/ML predictive models for oncology applications. This position emphasizes research activities and the management of data acquisition, organization, and visualization to facilitate data-driven science

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field such as computer science, data science, or engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience in data analysis and statistical modeling
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and R

Core Skills:

  • Familiarity with image visualization and processing software like 3D Slicer
  • Outstanding problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work successfully in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

Pay Range: $43,000 to $52,500
