Job Description

Ultrasound Technologist – Main Campus (NYC) 

 

As an Ultrasound Technologist at MSKCC, you will play a crucial role in our mission to provide world-class cancer care. Under the administrative direction of the Diagnostic Radiology Manager and the clinical guidance of General/Interventional/Vascular Radiologists, you will perform a variety of diagnostic ultrasound procedures with a high level of technical independence. In this role, you will collaborate closely with our team of medical professionals to ensure the highest quality patient care.

 

Role Overview:

  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures following established protocols.
  • Collaborate positively and effectively with all members of the MSKCC healthcare team.
  • Maintain a high level of technical proficiency and stay up to date with the latest advancements in ultrasound technology.
  • Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures.
  • Assist in maintaining and managing ultrasound equipment and supplies.
  • Uphold MSKCC's commitment to excellence in patient care and research.

Key Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduation from an approved Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) School of Ultrasound.
  • RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist) and RDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) certification is required.
  • Experience in general imaging, biopsies, and specialized vascular procedures.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant ultrasound technologist experience.

Additional Information:

  • Location: Main Hospital Campus, 1275 York Avenue, in NYC.
  • Schedule: We offer two different shift options to accommodate our dedicated team members:
    • 3-Day Work Week: Twelve and a half-hour shifts with rotating weekends.
    • 5-Day Work Week: Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with rotating weekends.
  • Reporting to the Manager, Diagnostic Radiology

Pay Range: $45.29-$72.42/hour

$10,000 bonus available for new hires.
