Job Description

Clinical Nurse - Emergency Oncology (Nights/Evenings)

 

Are you ready to join our dynamic Nursing Team?

 

The Emergency Center provides emergent and comprehensive patient-centered care to MSKCC’S patients, families, and staff 24 hours, 7 days a week. Patients are triaged/evaluated, and a decision is made to admit, discharge, or place a patient in observation status in the Clinical Decision Unit (CDU).

 

Role Overview:

  • Implement the nursing process for medical and surgical patients requiring intensive monitoring and nursing interventions in our Urgent Care Center.
  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to facilitate continuity of care.
  • Provide outstanding patient-centered care to our patients and unregistered patients.
  • Deliver care to employees who are injured on the premises.

Key Qualifications: 

  • NYS RN license and BSN
  • A minimum of 1.5-2 years of clinical medical/surgical experience required.
  • Critical care/ Emergency Department and/or medical oncology experience highly preferred
  • May consider New Graduate RNs with a preceptorship or externship in a critical care area.

Additional Information:

  • Location: 1275 York Avenue, NY, NY 10065
  • Schedule: Full-time 12 hour shifts 7:30PM-8AM with weekend and holiday rotation required 

Pay Range: $117,00.00 - $145,450.00.
