    Job Description

    We are extremely excited to bring onboard an Associate Director of Workplace Transformation, reporting to the VP of Facilities Planning at MSK.

     

    Our new director will play a key role in the organization by working directly with Facilities Management, HR and IS leadership to structure and lead complex policy, process and systems change management programs with a focus on transforming how space resources are allocated and utilized to support MSK's mission. You will be accountable for the overall vision and strategy, development of transformation plans and communications, and tracking outcomes related to employee engagement and financial sustainability.

     

    You will:

     

    Project Management/Change Management & Communications

    • Model best in class / innovative approaches to workplace transformation involving multiple internal clients in a matrix organization
    • Collaboratively support the development of a clear case for change, objectives, deliverables, and associated timelines accounting for key change activities and projects
    • Utilize organizational change management methodology and apply as appropriate for the environment and client groups, adjusting as needed
    • Lead workplace change management components and activities by designing and deploying change strategies, identifying risks (and providing mitigating strategies), measuring end-user experience and opportunities and consulting with project leads to build the appropriate change management strategy and integrate change tools into the project plan
    • Track, analyze and communicates outcomes of the “people” side of workplace transformation and provide recommendations to the business on adoption issues and mitigation strategies as well as follow up activities that will ensure the long-term success of all changes
    • Develop change and communication best practices by leveraging internal resources, establishing relationships with external subject matter experts, and conducting research and focus groups, etc

    Operational

    • Support leadership communications, including presentations, memos, and performance reporting, with a focus on strategic messaging, persuasiveness, and visual attractiveness
    • Work with technology, space planning and other relevant departments to identify client needs, develop innovative workable solutions and follow through to conclusion
    • Provide input and content into the creation of tools and education materials for clients groups to ensure effective engagement and adoption of changes
    • Participate in annual budget preparation

    Strategic

    • Ensure organizational alignment in design and execution of transformation efforts
    • Serve as an advisor and trusted internal consultant for Senior and Department Leadership on workplace transformation based on a situational awareness of the change and the groups being impacted
    • Partner with business leaders in Facilities Management, Human Resources, IS and other key stakeholders to provide and deploy holistic strategies and business transformation programs that drive measurable results
    • Gain commitment and utilize organization change champions to support and execute programs
    • Anticipate impact of change initiative and work with those impacted to create a vision for the future

    You have:

    • Bachelor’s Degree required; preferably BA or BS in Business Management, Organization Psychology, Organization Development, Communications or related field
    • Master's degree a plus
    • 7-10 years of work experience in Workplace Transformation, Change Management, Engagement, Communications, End-user Experience
    • Experience utilizing the Prosci ADKAR or similar Change Management Methodologies
    • Proven success in creating strategies, processes and systems that drive effective and efficient implementation of business initiatives and change management required
