    Job Description

Are you a data-first and fact-based teammate? Passionate about translating numbers into compelling stories to inform future strategies and improve productivity? Then, this might be the role for you.

The Development Department at MSK is seeking an experienced digital enthusiast to join our growing Analytics team.

As Senior Digital Strategic Analyst, you measure and strengthen customer experience solutions to support our brand awareness and fundraising goals. You will also handle the evaluation and optimization of our paid, earned and owned media – encompassing our web presence and digital assets, search and social strategy, and direct marketing approach.

Overall goals will include: planning and measuring investments, supporting content and platform strategies, and providing senior leadership with recommendations in relation to brand awareness, engagement, remarketing, and customer experience. Additionally, you are responsible for these items across the digital ecosystem: developing testing strategies, capturing customer insights, building automated KPI reporting suites, driving data explorations to answer strategic business questions, and supporting internal relationships and those with our agency-partners.

    You will:

    • Develop performance reports for various digital channels, including paid search, social campaigns, email marketing and SEO to support campaign monitoring and optimizations.
    • Develop a ‘test and learn’ culture across digital channels. Execute a/b and multivariate testing pipeline to optimize the overall experience, inform future strategies, and share as institutional insights.
    • Define an overall analytics measurement plan (with ‘proof of value’ reporting) by which success will be resolved in marketing strategy execution. Demonstrate channel return on investment as well as overall contribution to our integrated marketing plans and the donor journey.
    • Perform in-depth discovery to understand our existing digital footprint and the competitive landscape to establish a marketing strategy that provides a strong customer experience and differentiation.
    • Collaborate with marketing to optimize site and campaigns by analyzing data, traffic patterns, traffic sources, and funnel conversion.
    • Be a collaborative partner across internal teams, vendors and agency-partners. Display substantial inter and intra-organizational coordination and communication.
    • Identify marketing analytic requirements and author project deliverables for agency-partners.
    • Provide recommendations to key cross-functional teams by delivering executive-level findings and presentations.
    • Actively manage best practices and information management, and champion a sharing environment across cross-functional teams.
    • Monitor data integrity.

    You are:

    • Data-curious with a forward-thinking mindset.
    • Able to organize data and research findings into compelling narratives.
    • Exhibit strong leadership and project management skills.
    • Agile and comfortable with data and project ambiguity.
    • Able to structure problems to deliver simple, executable recommendations and able to translate between technical and non-technical audiences.
    • Always current with the latest tools, trends and strategies within the digital space, including technology and vendors.

    You have:

    • Expertise in digital marketing standards, usability, information architecture and audience segmentation.
    • Hands-on understanding of digital marketing metrics across web, email, social; with preferred, specific knowledge of peer-to-peer or event fundraising.
    • Shown success in improving UX, engagement, lead generation and conversion/retention across web and social platforms.
    • Knowledge of content personalization, conversion optimization and CRM integration.
    • Confirmed knowledge, skills and experience with Google Analytics and social media marketing.
    • Proven ability to extract meaningful analysis from data and the continuous desire to help define and improve processes and deliverables.
    • Experience in extracting insights from large databases, translating market research into actionable solutions and presenting findings and recommendations.
    • 5+ years’ experience leading projects in a complex environment.
    • 5+ years’ experience with advanced digital analytics management and optimization.
    • 2+ years’ experience in the social media landscape, with understanding of platforms, paid strategies and social listening techniques.
    • Management experience and a leadership mindset.
    • Preferred: Google AdWord and Facebook (Planning or Buying Professional) Certifications.
    • Preferred: agency or client experience with focus in healthcare and/or nonprofit fundraising; familiarity with fundraising web and email production, direct mail exposure.
    • Preferred: SQL, big data mining, data visualization experience such as Tableau.
