    Job Description

    We Are:


    The Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics is dedicated to pursuing research designed to better understand the causes of cancer as well as strategies for diagnosing, treating, and preventing disease. We are looking for a smart, detail-oriented, motivated individual who can execute tasks and projects working with the department's professional and administrative staff to achieve departmental goals. The department is comprised of the Biostatistics Service, Epidemiology Service, Health Outcomes Group, Computational Oncology and Administrative Team.


    You will:

    • As assigned by the PI or department administration; initiate, plan, develop and conduct project methodologies to facilitate service initiatives and fulfill programmatic needs.
    • Develop and maintain systems to obtain, organize, analyze, and communicate relevant data to support department and research operations. 
    • Make recommendations based on analysis of information.
    • Manage and track information on an ongoing basis: CV and Biosketch maintenance, organize materials on the share drive
    • Create professional and graphically rich documents and presentations for investigators or department administration within established timeframes.
    • Manage project and project timelines, present recommendations and disseminate appropriate information.
    • Provide editorial resource for the department for grants and manuscript submissions
    • Support graphics design for scientific papers, presentations, newsletters, etc.
    • Provide administrative support for Biostatistics and Health Outcomes including reimbursement paperwork, travel, meetings, etc.
    • Support event planning for the department including seminar series and workshops

    You are:

    • A good writer and passionate about the English language, particularly punctuation and grammar!
    • A self-starter, who demonstrates the flexibility necessary to excel in this position.
    • Adept at creating partnerships and working collaboratively to meet shared objectives and goals.
    • Confident multi-tasking and taking on additional responsibilities when needed and able to delegate when possible.
    • Willing to take action and eager to accept new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm.
    • Flexible in your approach and demeanor to align with the shifting demands of evolving circumstances.
    • Organized and can simultaneously handle multiple priorities.

    You have:

    • A Bachelors degree plus 2-4 years of research related administrative experience.
    • Excellent project coordination, communication, and problem solving skills.
    • A background in Microsoft Office and Adobe.Experience with EndNote and Photoshop preferred #LI-POST
