    Job Description

    Clinical Research Coordinator - Spanish/English bilingual, 11 hours/week

     

    We are seeking a bilingual (English and Spanish) Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) to assist with a research project in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. The study, titled "Developing a communication intervention for advanced cancer patients and caregivers," is led by Dr. Kelly Trevino of MSKCC and Dr. Megan Shen of Weill Cornell Medicine. As the CRC, you will contribute to both data management and patient management responsibilities.

     

    Hours:

    • 11.25 hrs/week (ideally one morning and one afternoon per week)

    You Will:

    • Support the PI and study team with data management and relevant project duties
    • Provide regular reports to the PI regarding study progress and challenges and work with the PI to address any problems that arise
    • Organize and participate in weekly study meetings
    • Design database(s) and tools to facilitate data collection as needed for assigned research projects
    • Maintain study databases, codebooks, and procedures for data entry and monitoring
    • Obtain informed consent and administer assessment batteries when necessary
    • Ensure coordination and implementation of project-related activities
    • Assist in the preparation of grants, presentations and manuscripts
    • Perform literature searches

    You Have:

    • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office
    • Outstanding judgment, initiative, and attention to detail
    • Superior interpersonal skills and verbal and written communication skills
    • Excellent data management skills to successfully manage large datasets
    • Clinical research experience preferred, but not required

    You Are:

    • Bilingual in both Spanish and English fluency
    • Able to prioritize and schedule work activities to ensure that workflow is efficient and meets the needs of the project
    • Able to effectively work independently and within a large team setting
    • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
