    Job Description

    We are:  Hospital Administration at MSK is responsible for the management of institutional initiatives, ranging from time sensitive, high-priority projects to day-to-day operations.   

     

    In this newly defined role, you will report to a Senior Program Manager, and will be responsible for the sourcing, curation, maintenance, analysis, and reporting of hospital data and datasets. You will work with the Senior Program Manager to ensure that data are presented to hospital stakeholders clearly and at the appropriate level of detail. Our goal is to continue to improve MSK through projects that are informed by accurate, relevant data.

     

     

    You are:

    • Willing to take action and eager to embrace new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, energy, and enthusiasm.
    • Experienced in the management of large and unfamiliar datasets.
    • Detail-oriented in your approach to developing analyses, projections, and reports.
    • Flexible in your approach and demeanor to align with the shifting demands of evolving circumstances.
    • Comfortable working under tight deadlines with changing or ambiguous requirements.

     

    You will:

    • Identify and collect necessary information from internal and external sources, as appropriate, and prepare data for analysis.
    • Maintain, through routine updates, collected data so that connections between disparately collected and analyzed data can be elucidated and capitalized upon.
    • Create, package and communicate analytic work using appropriate models and media for relevant insights and applicable data visualizations including, but not limited to, graphs, plots, informational graphics, tables, and charts.
    • Assist in the coordination of cross-functional teams to ensure that deadlines are met and stakeholders are appropriately updated on project status.

    You have:

    • Bachelor’s degree plus 2-4 years of data analysis and analytics experience, OR in lieu of a bachelor’s degree, minimum of 6 years relevant experience. Healthcare experience preferred but not required.
    • Analytic mindset and a high degree of comfort with large datasets. Experience with healthcare data is helpful, but not required.
    • Analytical, mathematical, and statistical skills, including the ability to develop, interpret and present data-driven insights. Data visualization skills, especially Tableau, desirable.
    • Advanced Excel skills required. PowerPoint, Word, and statistical software such as R preferred.
    • Excellent communication skills.
    • Project management skills, including the ability to ensure that cross-functional team members meet deadlines.
