    Job Description

    Are you a payroll and workday guru? Looking to bring your knowledge and tech skills to a dynamic, fast-paced healthcare setting? Then, look no further- this may be the right role for you.

     

    MSK is known worldwide for utilizing the most advanced technology to prevent, treat and cure cancer. In Payroll, we also use different types of technology to improve the employee experience, one of the most important is ensuring employees are compensated correctly for the work they perform. Come speak to us about our group of dedicated, friendly, payroll professionals as we upgrade our time reporting and scheduling system.

     

    Under minimal direction, you will administer and maintain the time & attendance systems used at MSK. These systems include Workday Time, API/GE Time and Attendance, MSK Intranet Timekeeping System and the interface with Lawson Nightingale product used by Nurse Administration.

    You will:

    • Maintain integrity and smooth functioning of systems.
    • When issues arise within any of the systems research and resolve in collaboration with Information Systems.
    • Provide subject matter expert (SME) assistance to functional end-users, including knowledge-transfer, training and troubleshooting issues.
    • Explain and demonstrate various aspects of current, developing, and planned system functionality.
    • Review new releases, fixes, and updates to determine applicability.
    • Participate as a core team member in the implementation of the API/GE Healthcare Time & Attendance and Staffing & Scheduling system.
    • Provide go-live support to employees & end users.
    • Assist with the discovery surveys, design, configuration and testing of the API/GE system to replace the MSK Intranet Timekeeping System.
    • Apply functional and technical system knowledge to the API/GE Time & Attendance and Staffing & Scheduling system.
    • Administer training and security/roles for all MSKCC timekeepers and managers for the Time and Attendance systems.
    • Develop and create system and user documentation and test plans for any system changes.
    • Ensure that documentation is up to date and reflects current operations. Document functional issues and recommended resolutions.
    • Provide advice, mentorship and feedback to the Time and Attendance Analysts and Attendance Capture Analysts on knowledge of systems/best practices.
    • Support staff with the tasks needed to process and confirm a clean, accurate and complete payroll for 17,000+ employees biweekly.
    • Complete calculations and/or auditing of transactions completed in other areas of payroll.
    • Run reports to ensure payroll data is constant and accurate.
    • Address employee correspondence via email and telephone.

    You need:

    • 2-4 years working with Workday Payroll, Workday Time, Time and Attendance Systems (Kronos or API/GE Healthcare) and Finance/Business Degree or college courses in Computer Information Systems
    • In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, 4-7 years functional payroll operations experience.
    • Nice to have: American Payroll Association Certification: Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) or Certified Payroll Professional (CPP).
