    Job Description

    The primary function of the Supply Clerk III role is to support both supply distribution and facility operations for Main Campus Outpatient and Inpatient areas. Responsible for ordering and maintaining adequate levels of all supplies, equipment and linen in accordance with established par levels for any outpatient or inpatient floor. Collaborates with administrative and clinical leadership and assists with equipment and supplies selection necessary to achieve optimum patient care in the most cost efficient manner.  Coordinates with vendors and ancillary services, i.e., Plant Operations, Facilities Management, Safety, and Environmental Services to ensure that all areas, including nurse servers, medication rooms, supply closets, examination rooms, treatment areas, waiting rooms, conference and consultation rooms, and academic/administrative are maintained in a safe, attractive and appropriate condition.  All duties must be carried out in a manner consistent with the standards of the institution.

    You Will:

    • Monitor and control the flow of medical supplies and equipment on assigned clinical floor.
    • Supply Distribution: Deliver and store supplies in appropriate location.
    • Check all orders received for accuracy against requisition form and packing slips while distributing and storing items. Return incorrect items and reorders unfilled items from General Stores or through the Facility Department.
    • Distribute items and store in appropriate location according to item. Follow established priority in delivery and storage of items.
    • Check dated items on a consistent basis to ensure products not expired.
    • Stock all items placing older items in the front and new stock in the rear for use prior to expiration date.
    • Ancillary Support/Coverage; Provide support and coverage in areas assigned.
    • Supply Ordering: Take inventory and orders supplies to maintain shelf levels in all assigned supply areas.
    • Order needed items from General Stores through the on-line Sciquest system or outside vendors as per departmental guidelines and without over stocking.
    • Anticipate and avoid problems by ordering depleted items as soon as possible. Offer alternatives to out of stock items when appropriate.
    • Check up daily with General Stores on status of back ordered items and notifies staff of such status if it becomes critical.
    • Process all supply requisitions/credits per departmental guidelines.
    • Care for the Environment: Contribute to a safe, clean and operation environment.

    You Have:

    • High School Diploma or GED.
    • One (1) year of supply clerk experience - Ability to lift 50 lbs.
    • Must be able to work and push heavy carts as well as standing for long periods of time.
    • Basic computer knowledge.

    Hours: 

    • 37.5 hours per week.
    • Must be available to work a flexible schedule.
