    Job Description

    The Antitumor Assessment Core Facility evaluates agents with potential antitumor activity in both research and preclinical development settings.  The laboratory includes both non-GLP and GLP-compliant facilities and the majority of studies performed are in vivo efficacy or toxicity studies in mice.  These studies may also include bioanalytical and histopathological analyses. 


    We have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Research Technician who will be responsible for assisting with the daily operations of the laboratory. 

    Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Establishing xenograft mouse models and conduct efficacy studies with them
    • Perform routine equipment maintenance according to lab SOPs
    • Keep banked tissue organized, maintain inventory of samples generated in animal experiments
    • Maintain cell lines and prepare cells for use in animal experiments
    • Maintain reagent stocks and prepare drug formulations for use in animal experiments
    • Assist with histology techniques (trimming, embedding, microtomy)
    • Operate various preparative and analytical instruments (e.g. hematology or clin chem analyzer)
    • Maintain computer and paper records


    • BA/BS in Biological or Natural Sciences
    • Three (3) or more years of laboratory research experience
    • Previous experience with mouse handling and surgeries
    • Previous cell culture experience
    • Experience performing in vitro assays
    • Histology experience preferred
    • GLP experience preferred #LI-SB1
