    Job Description

    We are seeking an exuberant Mandarin-speaking individual with above and beyond customer service skills to join us as a Sr. Care Advisor. You will provide guided access to MSK for employees of large, self-insured companies and other organizations that we are working with. We will represent the MSK brand together, by making a positive first impression and shepherding patients through their first experiences at MSK.

    Are you the right fit?

    You will:

    • Serve as first point of contact for patients and caregivers affiliated with a MSK Direct partner organization
    • Act as a brand ambassador with your dedication and determination in defeating cancer
    • Establish a thoughtful and direct relationship with patients
    • Actively guide expectations and appointment preparation, in order to improve the likelihood that the patient will opt to receive treatment at MSK, after completing the first consult.
    • Collect detailed clinical information from the patient, their relatives and/or physician to establish current clinical situation (diagnosis, testing and treatment to date).
    • Make sure to assess all of the patient's needs
    • Screen cases, using established criteria and seeking input from their nurse colleagues as needed and referring to outside resources where appropriate.
    • Craft (new patient) or access (established patient) record in Cadence to collect details of clinical history and status
    • document each interaction related to patient’s case.
    • Schedules appointments
    • reiterates all details and expectations to patient or caregiver.
    • Assist with obtaining all records, pathology, etc., delegating to external partners as appropriate.
    • Build strong patient relationships, gaining insight into customer needs, and sees opportunities to benefit them.
    • Provide coverage for colleagues
    • Take over cases to prevent any lapse in forward progress for the patient.

    Do you have these qualifications?

    Second language proficiency in *Mandarin* strongly preferred

    • A High School Diploma/GED or Bachelor's Degree
    • 2-4 years industry or healthcare experience
    • Show examples of using your strength in making quality decisions, ensuring accountability, and driving results independently and within the team.
    • Excellent written/verbal communication
