    Job Description

    Cycle for Survival is seeking two passionate, highly motivated, hard-working Market Managers to join the Recruitment & Fundraising team. One position is focused on the New York City region and the other is focused on the West Coast & Miami regions.


    Working directly with the manager of each region, the Market Manager will be responsible for the strategic recruitment and stewardship of Cycle for Survival’s participants and donors, and will provide highly personalized assistance for their fundraising efforts. In addition, you will provide support in the development and strategic growth of the events within your region.

    • Provide an extraordinary, highly-personalized level of customer service to the devoted and growing Cycle for Survival community.
    • Manage a heavy volume of communications and relationships with a diverse population of current and potential participants and donors by email, phone and in-person.
    • Implement a strategic communications plan and timeline to meet and surpass the ambitious recruitment and fundraising goals of the program.
    • Regularly solicit, coordinate and lead pitch presentations to all levels of corporate leadership at a variety of companies.
    • Report to and actively collaborate with the NYC or West Coast/Miami manager who oversees all activities associated with the recruitment and fundraising efforts in each region.
    • The West Coast & Miami position will require extensive work travel during the fall and winter months.

    • You are highly detail oriented and capable of handling multiple high volume projects and relationships simultaneously.
    • You are a team player who takes significant pride in your individual success, as well as the success of the team.
    • You aren’t afraid to set goals and create strategies to achieve them.
    • You have exceptional verbal and written communication skills.


    • Proven success in building strong interpersonal relationships.
    • At least 2-5 years of experience in fundraising, finance, communications, sales or account management.
    • Previous experience with extensive work travel is preferred (specific to West Coast/Miami position).

    Cycle for Survival is the national movement to beat rare cancers where 100 percent of every donation funds rare cancer research. About half of all cancer patients are fighting a rare cancer, and they often face limited or no treatment options.  Since 2007, Cycle for Survival has raised more than $179 million through its signature indoor team cycling events across the U.S. to help fund pioneering rare cancer research led by Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, which owns and operates Cycle for Survival.
