    Job Description

    Are you seeking a new opportunity in finance that will provide you the structure, mentorship and support that will help you excel in your career?

    We have an exciting opening for a Financial Analyst to join us in the Financial Planning Department at MSK. In this role, you will provide assistance to the Financial Analysis Manager in the coordination and completion of special projects which include financial feasibility studies, cost report analysis and regulatory enrollment processes.

    For the day-to-day of this position, we are looking for a hard-working individual to work on the following key areas:

    • Focus on proposed programs, buildings, projects, Certificate of Need applications and grant applications.
    • Assist in the preparation of special analyses related to third party hospital reimbursement and hospital revenue reporting.
    • Prep Medicare and Medicaid cost reports and appeals, responses to internal requests, audit requests and other regulatory filings.
    • Collaborate in the groundwork for special analyses and preparation of studies needed to maintain the Cancer Centers Medicare reimbursement system.
    • Audit of data in analyses derived from the decision support system including verification of net revenue calculations and cost calculations. Audit work would need to be done periodically throughout the year.
    • Maintain pricing of the charge master. This includes the setting of prices for new charges.
    • Conduct analyses as instructed to support new prices and charge increases.

    Are you able to meet the following qualifications?

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance and 2-4 years experience working in the Hospital/Healthcare industry
    • Fluency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, SQL and the Eclipsys Decision Support Systems or similar applications
    • Knowledge of Patient Accounting Systems a plus
