    Job Description

    The Senior Physician Relations Liaison will analyze referral patterns and optimize targeting of community physicians for in-person outreach.  This position will work closely with Finance, Strategy & Innovation, and multiple MSK Services to optimize presentation of MSK services, and to develop robust relationships with potential referring physicians. There will be a significant field component, through visiting physician offices, gathering information, and implementation of other marketing efforts to make MSK's physicians more visible to community doctors, and ultimately enhancing referral relationships to drive demand for MSK services.  The Senior Physician Relations Liaison will also provide guidance and leadership for junior Physician Liaisons.

     

    You will:

    • Identify potential opportunities for informal partnerships between community physicians and MSK physicians(survivorship initiatives, pre-surgical testing not available at regional site, etc)
    • Cultivate relationships with referring physicians that lead to personal introductions to physicians in his/her network
    • Anticipate physicians needs ahead of in-person visit and be equipped with information and appropriate messaging(based on previous experiences, conversations, size and location of practice, referral patterns, etc)
    • Build awareness of MSK locations, programs, clinical trials, and treatment advances with a specific emphasis on surgery
    • Analyze field intelligence and contribute to business insight through meaningful conversations with community providers to determine what changes to MSK practice would drive improved relationships
    • Communicate impact of liaison initiatives on an ongoing basis to key audiences
    • Use independent judgment to identify and coordinate meetings between key referring physicians and MSK physician (office visits, CME dinners, grand rounds, etc.) that will result in the greatest impact for MSK
    • Persuasively influence referral decisions by highlighting MSK’s key differentiation points vis a vis competitive treatment centers
    • Develop innovative, strategic targeting strategies through analysis and interpretation of internal referral, demographic, and market research data to identify key opportunities for increased patient growth
    • Display independent judgment by developing a physician outreach strategy that aligns with institutional priorities
    • Optimize work processes to track, measure, and assess liaison program impact
    • Develop content for innovative, impactful collateral materials such as service line brochures, insurance updates, and educational materials to support outreach effectiveness
    • Counsel junior liaison staff on proven effective communication strategies

    You need:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, Marketing, or a related field with 4-7 years of clinical, sales, and/or marketing experience (healthcare experience required). #LI-SB1 

    ***Territories include: 

    1. Queens, Brooklyn, Bronx and  Manhattan (Bilingual Spanish preferred)
    2. Westchester County, NY and Southern Connecticut.
