The Environmental Services team plays a significant role in providing exceptional service by ensuring a safe, clean, and pleasant environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

    You Will:

    • Work with the shift manager to ensure the environmental services team consistently provides efficient and effective high-quality service
    • Direct activities of environmental services team in assigned area including orienting, training and evaluating the performance of staff
    • Supervise area operations and prioritize workflow to meet the needs of the department and ensure efficient and financially sound operations
    • Monitor and ensure compliance with departmental standards and regulatory requirements
    • Participate in operational performance improvement initiatives and engages in professional development activities
    • Ensure sufficient supplies are available to meet the needs of the department
    • Help the environmental services department achieve its vision of being a leader in its industry
    • Be actively engaged in facilitating the mission and vision of MSKCC and the Environmental Services Department.
    • Provide support to enable success for your direct reports and peers.


    You Need:

    • Associates Degree or Certified Vocational Training (CHESP)
    • Five (5) years of supervisory experience
    • Two (2) years of Environmental Service experience
    • Expert knowledge of Environmental Services Equipment Operation
    • Ability to stand, walk and/or continuously move around; ability to push, pull, lift and/or carry heavy objects (20lbs or more) without the aid of physical devices. Visual ability to monitor instructions and computers, distinguish characters (letters, numbers) observe physical characteristics.
