    Job Description

    The Assistant Manager, Compliance reports directly to our Associate General Counsel, Director, Compliance and Privacy Officer to ensure fundamental compliance standards are adhered to across defined program areas in Compliance. The Assistant Manager will work with significant independence to create and execute on key projects.  Projects will be in collaboration with Compliance managers from the areas of Privacy, Conflict of Interest, and Controlled Substances and Reports of Non Compliance.

     

    You will:

    • Develop framework for prioritizing risk and project plans in Director’s compliance areas
    • Identify, initiate, plan, develop and follow through on projects and assignments.
    • Leverage knowledge of industry and organization to develop and implement ideas, tools, and resources.
    • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices, making recommendations that optimize processes and practices.
    • Identify and assesses innovative process and documentation solutions for compliance to ensure continuous optimization of staff and resources
    • Develop and implement standard training format for all content areas.
    • Assess needs; Create, prepare, and deliver training to staff at all levels.
    • Hire, orient, and develop assigned staff.
    • Act as privacy representative.
    • Collaborate with members of Communications department to create and implement campaigns.
    • Create and deliver content for presentations, blogs.
    • Create external network of best practices on compliance topics
    • Build networks and leverage knowledge to develop and implement policies.
    • Lead and conduct compliance investigations of varying compliance topics, including industry and vendor relationships, conflict of interest, and privacy, including interviews, data analysis and report writing and finalization

    You need:

    • A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree; Master's preferred
    • Compliance experience with at least four years of experience in a healthcare setting
    • Knowledge of regulatory requirements, including HIPAA privacy standards
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify root cause and resolve complex problems
    • Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to synthesize and clearly present complex information.
    • Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and other external parties.
    • Experience guiding less-experienced staff and/or head project teams. #LI-SB1
