    We are seeking a Donor Relations Coordinator for MSK's growing Development department.

    Under the management of the Associate Director and the day-to-day supervision of the Stewardship Manager,

    You will:

    • Collaborate with a broad range of Development colleagues to design, manage, execute and assist with donor relations, recognition, and stewardship projects. This includes coordination of the acknowledgment process for high end and VIP MSK donors and serving as a resource to Development staff for all acknowledgment related questions and information.
    • Collaborate in the creation and dissemination of stewardship best practices and training with leaders.
    • Passionate about delivering excellent customer service to donors and Development staff on issues related to high end and VIP gift acknowledgments, letter templates, and various donor relations and stewardship topics. Also, provide day-to-day supervision and assistance to the Donor Relations Specialist in the provision of such customer service.

    Is your background a fit?

    You Have:

    • Proven knowledge of fundraising principles, including thorough knowledge of gift processing, understanding of various philanthropic gifts, and proper gift acknowledgment and tax receipt regulations.
    • Three years’ experience in donor relations/gift administration/stewardship, including experience maneuvering a tiered acknowledgement process, is required.
    • Experience as a proofreader, editor, or writer, preferably with prior experience writing and editing under executive level signatures.
    • Experience in a high-volume non-profit philanthropic service environment.
    • Shown skill in Blackbaud CRM or equivalent development database and the use of databases to generate reports.
    • Relationship management experience working with Donors and Gift Officers.
    • Ability to lead, organize, plan and follow through on projects independently and/or under general guidance/supervision.
    • Ability to delegate tasks and lead work performed by others.
    • A Bachelor’s Degree
