    Job Description

    MSK is seeking a Financial Analyst to join our Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences department.  In this role, the Financial Analyst provides financial data analysis for the department under the direction of the Financial Manager, including preparation and monitoring of all operating and capital budgets.

     

    You Will Also:

    • Collaborate with the Finance Manager on budget variances, financial planning and budgeting.
    • Monitor and report on expenditures to maintain departmental Grants budgets
    • Serve as a financial advisor to the Finance Manager
    • Collect,create and maintains pertinent statistics and data required for reports.
    • Prepare variance reports and financial analysis for financial planning
    • Work with the Finance Manager review monthly statistics and Petty cash Management, including Petty Cash auditing
    • Assist Finance Manager with special projects as required

    • Able to operate effectively, even when things are not clear or the way forward is not obvious
    • Adept at learning quickly, applying insights from past efforts to new situations

    You Need:

    • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience; Master’s Degree preferred
    • 4-7 years experience
    • Advanced Excel skills preferred
    • Experience with Cognos a plus
