Our state-of-the-art clinical laboratories provide sophisticated technology and automated equipment that allow our teams to get to answers faster and more efficiently, with a strong emphasis on applied and translational research.

We are currently seeking Laboratory Assistants for new Bergen (Montvale) location, which is due to open in mid-2018.

You are:

  • Someone who readily takes action on challenges, without unnecessary planning
  • Able to handle and manages crises effectively
  • Able to work as part of team, as well as independently
  • An excellent communicator who supports open expression of diverse ideas and opinions
  • Someone who follows through on commitments and acts with a clear sense of ownership
  • Known to deliver messages in a clear, compelling, and concise manner
  • Able to successfully build and deliver solutions that meets customer expectations
  • Able to make sound decisions, even in the absence of complete information

You will:

  • Perform accessioning and processing of specimens according to laboratory procedures
  • Assume clerical responsibilities, such as answering and assisting clinicians with questions.
  • Perform Inventory management
  • Assist laboratory staff with technical procedures.

You need:

  • An Associates Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science
  • 1-2 years experience in a clinical laboratory as a Laboratory Technician, Laboratory Assistant or related job. 
  • Strong computer skills in Word and Excel, along with experience using relational databases.

Hours of work:

  • 37.5 hours per week
  • Monday to Friday, with hours falling between 7am and 7pm. Hours are subject to change dependent upon patient demand.
