Job Description

Nurse Practitioner – Integrative Medicine

We are seeking a nurse practitioner who is passionate about integrative medicine to join our outpatient team. You will work with a multi-disciplinary team in designing and implementing evidence-based, holistic and individualized plans of care that emphasize non-pharmacologic interventions, self care and wellness promotion for patients across their cancer trajectory.

The Integrative Medicine Service at MSK is one of the first integrative medicine programs established in a major cancer center in the US and has been leading the field in clinical care, research and education since its inception 18 years ago.

 

You Are:

  • A good decision-maker, with proven success in caring for complex patients and making sound clinical judgment.
  • Able to communicate clearly and effectively in complicated circumstances.
  • Able to take initiative and collaborate to successfully implement new programs.
  • Adept at planning, prioritizing and efficient time management.
  • Effective at forging therapeutic relationships with patients and constructive relationships with co-workers.
  • Flexible in your approach and demeanor in order to align with the shifting demands of evolving circumstances.

You Will:

  • Conduct shared new visits and independent follow-up visits with a team of integrative medicine physicians.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement a plan of care to address the physical and psychosocial needs of your patients.  
  • Participate in educational activities within and outside of MSK
  • Engage in research activities to further advance the role of integrative therapies in cancer care.

Qualifications:

  • Current New York State (NYS) RN and NP licenses/registrations
  • Master’s degree in Nursing
  • 3+ years of related clinical experience
  • Related National NP certification

Hours: M-F 9a-5p
