Job Description

Facilitate various aspects of materials management and facility operations at MSK Basking Ridge. Primary assignment will be supporting Diagnostic Radiology.

 

You Will:

 

Supply Ordering – Take inventory and order supplies to maintain par levels in all assigned

  • supply areas per established schedule.
  • Count supplies, item by item, and order quantities needed to bring items up to par level
  • Order additional supplies as requested by outpatient leadership team
  • Anticipate and avoid problems by ordering out-of-stock and depleted items as soon aspossible
  • Identify overstocked items and return them to the supplier for credit
  • Identify fast moving items and monitor them closely for replenishment
  • Coordinate linen and uniform orders and laundering
  • Receiving – Facilitate routing of incoming and outgoing deliveries.
  • Assist with the monitoring and management of vendor/supplier building access via the loading dock
  • Receive and document incoming deliveries
  • Arrange distribution of incoming items


Supply Distribution – Deliver and store supplies in appropriate locations within established time frames.

  • Check all orders received for accuracy
  • Work with suppliers to ensure receipt of any backordered item or provision of an MSKapproved substitute
  • Distribute items and store in appropriate locations following established priority by area and item type
  • Distribute clean linens and uniforms throughout facility
  • Dispose of expired items following regulatory and safety guidelines

Mail Room – Facilitate routing of incoming and outgoing letters and packages.

  • Post outgoing mail and receive and sort incoming mail daily
  • Receive, distribute and document incoming express service and certified letters andpackages
  • Coordinate outgoing UPS shipments

Facility Maintenance & Operation – Assist with the overall maintenance of the facility.

  • Participate in regular environmental rounds of each suite/service to ensure that the
  • physical appearance and safety of the environment are being maintained in accordance with institutional standards
  • Perform routine and ad hoc maintenance tasks as requested by the outpatient leadership team
  • Update facility log of pending and completed tasks

Equipment Maintenance – Ensure availability of safe and operational equipment in all outpatient areas

  • Assess and appropriately address immediate maintenance needs
  • Facilitate timely repair of scopes and other items following MSK’s repair, return and documentation processes
  • Collaborate with MSK’s Medical Physics Department to keep equipment on preventative maintenance schedule

 

Part time Work Hours:Monday-Friday, 18.75 hours total. Shifts between 6:30am-7:00pm. Possible Saturdays. Flexibility required.

 

You Have:

  • GED/HS Diploma
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Able to walk and push heavy carts
