Job Description

Main Function: Decontaminates Operating Suites by following detailed procedures specific to Surgical Environments.  


You Will:

  • Operating Room Decontamination: Performance of standardized procedures for operating room decontamination as outlined in the Departmental Policy and Procedure Manual.
  • Seven Step Cleaning: Demonstrates performance of standardized procedures for occupied and terminal cleaning of areas as outlined in the Department Policy and Procedure Manual.
  • Infection Control and Safety Precautions: Maintains a safe work environment by following safety and infection control guidelines at all times.
  • Waste Handling: Follows established hospital procedures for handling, containment, and disposal of general and infectious waste as outlined in Departmental Policies and Procedures.
  • Project Work: Performs project work as needed/requested, responds to emergency requests, and assists with moves.  


You Have:

Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED Minimum Experience: 2 years experience (Environmental or OR Support experience)
