Job Description

The Supervisor of the PDX platform will perform all activities associated with the procurement and inventory of patient and mouse xenograft tissue samples in the lab. The Supervisor, PDX Lab will work with the lab head to manage all projects involving collection of tumor tissue samples, cell and generated tumor xenograft models.

 

You will:

  • Organize and coordinate the procurement and inventory of patient and mouse xenograft tissue samples for genomic characterization
  • Submit samples and prepare requisition to institutional core facilities for genomic characterization of PDX samples
  • Maintain and track projects involving collected tumor tissue samples, generated cell lines and generated tumor xenograft models in order to facilitate timely completion of projects
  • Coordinate the development and execution of therapeutic studies involving mouse tumor xenograft models
  • Utilize appropriate methodologies to collect patient/specimen associated data required for the database and data analysis
  • Maintain and develop a curated database of collected tumor tissue samples, cell lines and generated tumor xenograft models
  • Aid in data analysis of animal therapeutic studies
  • Generate study summaries of ongoing and completed mouse tumor xenograft therapeutic studies.
  • Participate and prepare data for presentation at a weekly molecular tumor board
  • Interact with collaborating groups and individuals responsible for data analysis and visualization
  • Interface with collaborating groups involved in genomic characterization and tumor xenograft modeling
  • Oversee technician assignments and conduct of animal therapeutic studies
  • Monitor ordering activities to insure accurate and timely order placement

You need:

  • Doctorate or Master’s Degree in Biology or Natural Sciences (preferred) with 4-7 years experience in research laboratory facility #LI-SB1
