Job Description

MSK is seeking a talented programmer, with extensive Microsoft .Net C#, HTML and JavaScript front end development experience. In this position, while working with a team of software developers, you will participate in the development of a new application to build and release patient data collection forms. This tool will be integrated with our MyMSK Patient Portal, and interface to a number of our backend clinical applications.


You Will:

  • Analyze functional requirements, systems architecture and applications on assigned projects.
  • Plan, coordinate and provide estimates (e.g., time) for assigned projects.
  • Design program and technical specifications for various applications that may include data flow, data storage, interface design, and system architecture, on assigned projects.
  • Develop specifications ensuring performance optimization of system and/or application.
  • Matches the scope and proportion of the specifications and design to the business request. Considers and develops system contingency plans to maintain high system/application availability
  • Develop programs that may interface with other applications/databases, to meet complex business requirements.
  • Writes code according to specifications developed.
  • Define test cases; prepares data and scripts for testing.
  • Executes and coordinates systems, integration, and enterprise-wide test plans for assigned projects.
  • Plan and coordinate the implementation of new systems, enhancements and/or upgrades to current systems to ensure smooth migration from development to production environment.
  • Produce required functional, technical, and user documentation (e.g., business requirements, functional and technical specifications, system architecture, data flows, end-users training requirements) on assigned projects.
  • Resolve production problems; support, maintain, and enhance assigned systems.

You Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of Information Services experience
  • The ideal candidate will possess strong technical proficiency in the following technologies: Microsoft .Net C#, Web Forms, MVC4, Angular JS, Quartz scheduler, Entity Framework, HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery, bootstrap, CSS3, Windows Communication Foundation, Web Services including RESTful, NUnit/MSUnit testing framework, Selenium, Windows Forms programming experience in multi-tier architecture, Visual Studio 2010/2013, TFS, SQL Server, MS Office, XML. Strong understanding and experience with design patterns such as DI/IoC.
