Job Description

Patients  benefit from access to personalized medicine, cutting-edge clinical trials, and cancer care for the whole patient, all offered under one roof.

  

About This Role:

 

The Monmouth Patient Care Technician ensures the care, comfort and satisfaction of our patients and their families and assists in resolving any patient care related issues while working in close collaboration with the entire clinical team and under the supervision of a Clinical Nurse. These duties include ensuring that patients and family members are assisted in a timely, efficient and courteous manner and handling acutely ill patients in stressful situations. Taking vital signs, performing venipuncture, EKGs, basic computer and data entry skills are required. Successful applicants must possess strong patient care skills, communication skills,  take an analytical approach to problem solving; enjoy working as part of a team and the ability to exhibit initiative.  

 

Shift: 8 hour shift flexed between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m., Monday – Friday and some Saturday coverage between 7:00am-6:00pm. Shifts always subject to change and possibility of being asked to cover for other MSK New Jersey sites as needed.

 

This is a full-time position

 

Only candidates with the strongest relevant experience will be considered

 

 

What You Need:  

 

EDUCATION:

• Required: High School diploma or equivalency

 Preferred: Some College  

 

 

EXPERIENCE:

• Required: one(1) year of strong patient care experience

• Preferred: two(2) or more years of strong patient care and customer service skills  

 

CERTIFICATION:

  • BCLS Certification Required

* Preferred: Certification from an accredited Nursing Assistant or comparable training program
