Job Description

Clinical Nurse- Surgical Oncology Office Practice, Monmouth, N.J. 

Hours: Four days x 10 hour shifts flexed between 8a - 6p Monday - Friday. Weekend hours, evening hours, and floating to Basking Ridge location may be required based on the needs of the Center.

In December, 2016, we opened a new outpatient facility in Middletown, New Jersey. Residents of Monmouth County and beyond now have easier access to the unsurpassed expertise and outstanding cancer care of Memorial Sloan Kettering, as we provide comprehensive care through multidisciplinary care teams solely focused on cancer. Patients will benefit from access to personalized medicine, cutting-edge clinical trials, and cancer care for the whole patient, all offered under one roof. We are seeking experienced nurses to staff our Office Practice areas.

You are:

  • An experienced Registered Nurse (RN) with recent/related oncology experience required
  • A good decision-maker, with proven success at making timely decisions that maintain high standards of nursing care within the organization
  • Actively seeking new ways to grow and be challenged
  • Approachable – someone who is comfortable with diverse groups of people and able to make others comfortable with you
  • An effective communicator
  • Action-oriented and eager to embrace new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm

You will:

  • Work within a Nurse-Physician based outpatient practice model
  • In collaboration with the healthcare team members, provide clinical nursing care to manage a caseload of ambulatory surgical oncology patients
  • Perform patient assessment, patient and family education and symptom management
  • Act as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide continuity of care throughout various stages of treatment and follow-up
  • Participate in the implementation of clinical support programs to ensure optimal care throughout the healthcare continuum

You need:

  • NJS RN license
  • BSN
  • 1.5 - 2 years of surgical experienced required
  • Surgical oncology experience highly preferred
  • Outpatient experience highly preferred
