Job Description

MSK's Development team is seeking an Assistant Director, Strategic Partnerships. The Assistant Director will be responsible for prospect management and program analysis across all programs reporting to the VP of Development which include Major Gifts, Institutional Giving, Fundraising Events, Annual Giving, Planned Giving, and Direct Marketing.  


You Will:

  • Manage the movement of prospects across all Development programs
    • Review all new and existing donor prospects 
    • Assign to programs to ensure overall efficiency of resources and enable highest percentage of donor upgrades 
  • Oversee departmental program analysis and performance
    • Analyze programs against defined KPIs and make suggestions to the VP of Development for program strategy
  • Ad-hoc analysis of programs to ensure proper budget allocation across departments
    • Deep analysis of Gift Officer portfolios and program prospects to ensure proper alignment of budget allocation across all departments reporting to VP of Development
  • Staff management
    • Supervise 1-2 direct reports
    • Provide support and guidance to perform ad-hoc analysis of all fundraising programs
  • Develop new programs to promote advancement of donor prospects, including:
    • Digital naming opportunities, upgrade opportunities for donors and tools for gift officers
  • Other duties assigned by the Director of Fundraising Programs and VP of Development

You Have:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree
  • 7 years of experience, including experience as a Manager
  • Prior Development/Fundraising experience is preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word)
