The Proteomics Core Facility is a biomedical proteomics center that supports laboratory and clinical research programs at Memorial Sloan Kettering. The Proteomics Core performs mass spectrometry based analyses of proteins and peptides for the purpose of identification, relative quantitative analysis, and post-translational modification (PTM) analysis. We are currently seeking an experienced research professional at the Research Technician or Senior Research Technician level.
For Research Technician level, a Bachelor's with 0-3 years of full-time experience or Master’s with 0-1 years of full-time experience
For Senior Research Technician level, a Bachelor’s with 3+ years of full-time experience with Master’s with 1+ years of full-time experience
Preferred Experience: Familiar with SDS-PAGE and protein purification protocols; must have experience in sample processing for mass spectrometric analysis; has experience operating nano-HPLC systems, mass spectrometers such as MALDI-TOF and OrbiTrap mass spectrometers equipped with nano spray sources. Experience with proteomics softwares such as Xcalibur, Mascot, Sequest and Scaffold. #LI-SB1
