Job Description

You Are:

You Will:

  • Represent the Department of Epidemiology & Biostatistics in all correspondence internally and externally; managing sensitive information for the office. 
  • Assist with departmental seminar meetings and larger institutional meetings, serving as the first point of contact for invited guests, managing agendas, scheduling, etc.
  • Conference planning: Arrange appropriate meeting space and set up given meeting/seminar requirements (e.g., food ordering, technology devices, etc). Use knowledge of types of accommodations and structure of rooms to provide viable set up or proposes alternatives; discusses audio-visual equipment needed with all relevant parties. 
  • Prepare/produce accurate documents including memos, agendas, letters of support, presentations, CV, biosketch and as required. 
  • Work with the faculty to foster the growth of new initiatives within the department. 
  • Perform clerical duties on behalf of the faculty. This entails managing daily calendars and travel plans. Maintaining files, correspondence and associating tracking systems. Manage the faculty’s expenses, reimbursements, reconciliations and purchases. 
  • Use your strong customer service and multi-tasking abilities to support the administrative team providing support/cross coverage as needed. 
  • Work on ad-hoc projects as directed by Administration.

 

You Have:

  • Bachelors degree preferred + 4 years of experience 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Strong oral and written communication, prioritization/time management, attention to detail and organizational skills
