Physician Assistant/ MSK Monmouth-Surgery (Plastic Surgery Background Preferred)
Must be willing to train at our NYC campus for a majority of the first 3-6 months.
We are currently seeking a surgical Physician Assistant to join our MSK Monmouth team to work in our new ambulatory and multispecialty surgical OR suites. We are in the process of building a plastic surgery service, so we are seeking a PA who has a strong background in plastic surgery with flexibility to learn and to first assist with other surgical specialties.
A multi-specialty focused group of PAs providing highly skilled surgical expertise and assistance to MSKCC’s world renowned surgeons.
The Surgical PA will be multi-specialty focused and cover all OR cases performed at MSK Monmouth, as well as, some endoscopic procedures. In addition, the Surgical PA will also rotate in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) to recover and treat any acute medical issues, First and Second assist in the OR and Endoscopic Suites, Collaborate with members of our multidisciplinary team and participate in process improvement/efficiency initiatives. As the program expands we may add more subspecialties to the OR mix; the following oncologic based subspecialties will have a strong OR presence at MSK Monmouth.
• Reconstructive Surgery/Plastics Breast Surgery
• Gynecologic Oncology Surgery
• Urologic Oncology Surgery
• Head & Neck Surgery
• Thoracic Surgery
• Gastric & Mixed Tumor Surgery
• Colorectal Surgery
• Orthopedic surgery

Graduated from an accredited PA program
NCCPA board certification
NJS and NYS license or qualification for state licensures (required)
2+ years of operative experience in surgical oncology or in one of the noted surgical subspecialties (strongly preferred). New graduates are welcome to apply.
Hours/Shifts: full-time schedule flexed Monday – Friday#LI_TA1
