Job Description

The Radiation Therapist Supervisor supervises the day to day functions and activities of the Radiation Therapy department staff to ensure efficient and effective operations and quality patient care; overseeing over 60 Radiation Therapists and 3 schedulers.

 

You will:

  • Maintain responsibility for operations of assigned Radiation Therapy section.
  • Obtain, organize, analyze and communicate information and data required for department operations.
  • Monitor departmental standards and regulatory requirements to ensure patient safety, radiation safety, proper care for the environment, and equipment maintenance.
  • The Radiation Therapist Supervisor may perform a variety of clinical procedures including (not limited to) including treatment delivery and performing simulation procedures. The Radiation Therapist Supervisor may need to travel to the MSKCC satellite sites to ensure standards and policies are consistent amongst all campuses.

You need:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree.
  • Preferred: Supervisor/management experience.
  • Employment as a MSK Senior Radiation Therapist and/or 5 years of overall treatment experience.
  • New York State in Radiologic Technology ARRT required.
  • Magnetic Resonance Imaging Certification preferred.
