Job Description

Summary:  Monitor and control the flow of medical supplies, medical equipment, and office supplies for the Correlative Sciences Program. Will also be responsible for transporting and delivering time-sensitive materials (blood specimens, biopsy material) between main campus and other MSK locations on a daily basis.

You will:

  • Inventory Control:
    • Counts medical and office supplies in assigned areas, item by item, on a weekly basis and notes quantities needed to ensure floor stock is maintained at an operational level. Moves supplies from bulk storage to closet storage daily.
    • Delivers, orders, and stores supplies in appropriate location per department guidelines within established timeframes.
    • Checks expiration date on all dated supplies and processed items; discards outdated supplies. Checks and straightens supply shelves and drawers daily; assures all items are within expiration dates, in order (e.g. in assigned space, all like items together), free of dust, and easily accessible.
  • Specimen Handling:
    • Moves specimen between MSK sites in IATA approved container for delivery. Completes necessary paperwork (e.g. chain of custody logs) to check samples in/out of areas.
    • Delivers pre-made collection kits to collection area.
  • Clerical Duties:
    • Organizes completed specimen requisitions for scanning, scans requisitions and places in digital archive.
    • Maintains paper and digital files for auditing and regulatory purposes.

You need:

  • HS Diploma/GED
