Job Description

Working directly with the Regional Manager of New York City, the New York City Market Manager, Recruitment and Fundraising will be responsible for the strategic recruitment and stewardship of Cycle for Survival’s top NYC participants and donors, and will provide highly personalized assistance for their fundraising efforts. In addition, you will directly support the Regional Manager in the development and strategic growth of the NYC market.

You Will:

  • Provide an extraordinary, highly personalized level of customer service to the devoted and growing Cycle for Survival community
  • Manage a heavy volume of communications and relationships with a diverse population of current and potential participants and donors by email, phone and in-person
  • Regularly solicit, coordinate and give presentations to all levels of corporate leadership at a variety of companies
  • Manage large volume of corporate teams and directly oversee Cycle for Survival’s industry specific Finance Ride
  • Report to and actively collaborate with the Regional Manager of New York who oversees all activities associated with the recruitment and fundraising efforts in New York City

  • Highly detail oriented and capable of handling multiple high volume projects and relationships simultaneously
  • A team player who takes significant pride in your individual success, as well as the success of the team
  • Unafraid to set goals and create strategies to achieve them
  • An exceptional verbal and written communicator
  • interested in and/or have a working knowledge of the finance industry

You Have: 

  • A Bachelor's Degree
  • At least 4 years of related experience in fundraising, finance, communications, sales or account management
  • Proven success in building strong interpersonal relationships

CYCLE FOR SURVIVAL:

 

Cycle for Survival is the national movement to beat rare cancers where 100 percent of every donation funds rare cancer research. About half of all cancer patients are fighting a rare cancer, and they often face limited or no treatment options.  Since 2007, Cycle for Survival has raised more than $140 million through its signature indoor team cycling events across the U.S. to help fund pioneering rare cancer research led by Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, which owns and operates Cycle for Survival. Together with the movement's founding partner, Equinox, Cycle for Survival has supported innovative clinical trials, research studies, and major research initiatives.
